Gourmet Burger Kitchen 

A must go homemade burger restaurant

             It was a Sunday morning. We started our day in a small coffee shop located in Buchanan Street, the biggest shopping street in Glasgow. Walking through this street, you can find hundreds of independent boutiques, international designer outlets and flagship stores of every major British retailer. Thus, if you want to avoid crowds, this isn't the place for you! But if you like city bustle and lots of talented buskers, then this is a great place to just wander along.

   One thing that we’re really appreciated is that Glaswegians are endlessly friendly and helpful and very, very funny! Shopping in the Buchanan Street has never let us down in every times we come. 

After spending almost two hours for shopping, it’s time for lunch!!! 

Today, we gonna introduce a handmade burger restaurant in which you can find in the heart of Glasgow. On one section of Saint Vincent Street, there have several famous burger restaurants and Gourmet Burger Kitchen is one of them. 

It was shiny and sparkly once we came inside. Surrounded by craft beer, the smell of various kinds of burger, and old style lighting. We couldn’t deny that the interior is quite unique with metal framework all about the main area.

Sitting down we’re directed around the menu and told that orders are placed at the “bar”, the food is ordered and paid for at the bar and then brought to our table.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen is a good place for lunch. They have a lunch menu with special lunch offers. The best thing is that you can have different sized burgers (small or large), which is a nice option for women that really concern about their weights.

We ordered the Chunky fries or sweet-potato fries, Three kinds of burger including the Taxi Driver KF, the Major Tom KF and Arnie Sarnie Bundle as well as milkshakes.

Five minutes later, our milkshakes arrived in those retro style shake cups. We all like the milkshakes. The Chocolate milkshake was very rich whereas the strawberry one tastes very like  yoghurt drink. Perfect!!!

            Milkshakes are to die for! It costs only £3 per each. Very cheap!!! That is why we couldn’t bear to grab more before leaving.

            Not for so long, the burgers were served at our table. It came with good sizes but not ridiculously large; burgers are all freshly made on the premises and cooked to our specification.

First, the Taxi Driver KF or cheese and bacon burger. The meat was a perfect medium and full of fillings. 

            Our second burger was Arnie Sarnie Bundle. The burger was thick, juicy and very tasty with imaginative toppings and plenty of variety. We enjoyed it so much. Highly recommended!

Finally, our last order arrived, the Major Tom KF. It seemed like sandwich rather than burger…hahaha. It was good with great selection. Juicy, moist, charred burger. Thumbed up from all of us, however I couldn’t really tell if it was the BBQ sauce?  Too much going on in there.

To sum up, the burgers were well cooked using high quality ingredients and with excellent flavor. Love the Chunky fries, huge portion which was fresh and crisp. Apart from this, the staff was very helpful and attentive! Great service oriented restaurant. Will definitely visit again if in the area.
