Drygate, near Glasgow Cathedral and The Necropolis

The Drygate is the restaurant I visit most often since I come to study at the University of Strathclyde. It take only five minutes by walking from the campus. We can enjoy craft beer and food even panoramic views of their production brewery the brewhouse Bar. From the outside, the building look like a box assembly and screenprinting factory, using brick, steel and concrete. They open daily from 11 a.m. until midnight.

We arrived to the shop when the Drygate just opened. When we look around, The insight of the building have been preserved including the restoration of the original Seven Peaks of the sawtooth roof, exposed brick walls displayed behind newly installed panes of glass and the preservation of paint marks on the concrete floor, celebrating traces of the building’s functional heritage.

The Drygate is a good place for dinner especially drinking Craft Beers. There are a variety menu which are suit with the craft beers. Moreover, people can see a various kinds of craft beer from counter bar.
Let’s begin with our craft beers!!!, we orders  three half pine of glasses. They are Drygate Seven Peaks IPA which is the signature beer of this restaurant, Drygate bearface and Drygate Outaspace Apple
 Ale.

Finally we got the craft beers, they were severed in the half pine glasses. I would recommend the Drygate Seven Peak IPA. It is amazing everyone should try this craft beer. For Drygate bearface, It has strong smell but people who enjoy drinking will like it. What’s about Apple Ale, there is softer taste than the other. The taste is like apple cider with a smell of craft beer. So, the girl who does not like beer I would suggest the Drygate Outaspace Apple Ale. Anywhere, do not forget the starter and main courses!!!

Let’s begin this the side dish, we ordered the Confit Rabbit Leg & Ham Hough Terrine. It is the roast cheese and ham serve with toast and chorizo jam.

The first dish is coming, the delicious beef burger serve with chip and coleslaw. It had a good shave but it can fulfill your staving.

Our second meal is Treacle Cured Pork Belly, I would recommend for Asian people. The taste is like belly pork in Chinese style serve with mash potato and red cabbage sauce.

A part from that, we also can see the craft beer brewing in the Drygate restaurant.

Overall, the Drygate craft beers are excellent that you can enjoy different type of craft beer along with good main courses and side dishes.
